Dr. Ranjit Chakravorti is an entrepreneur, philanthropist and a businessman. Since graduating from Jadavpur University (’61 ChE), Dr. Chakravorti received degrees from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, University of Wisconsin-Madison and University at Buffalo, NY. Dr. Chakravorti was the founder and President of TRS Consultants, Inc in 1987, an engineering and construction management firm. TRS, as an ISO 9000 certified firm, completed more than 200 projects with a construction value of more than $2.0 billion. He sold his firm in 2009. Dr. Chakravorti, as a Rotary Club member, managed $1 billion of Humanitarian projects worldwide. He has been awarded - the Rotary Foundation District Service Award (D-5160), Rotarian of the Year.
